This project visualises how democracy has evolved, its promises, its flaws, and its turning points.
Using the “Democracy and Dictatorship” dataset by TidyTuesday (2024), which tracks 192 countries over 70 years, we mapped global shifts in governance, suffrage, and power to see how freedom has been gained, lost, and redefined over time.
